My name is Jim Waltz. I was born in the Philippines in 1935 of German-Pilipino parents. I lived through the Japanese occupation of the islands and I have felt the pain of being conquered and the joys of liberation.

I spent my boyhood in the City of Cavite and my teens in the capital City of Manila. I left the islands in 1955 and now reside in Tacoma, Washington in the USA.
